What to put inside a wedding return gift bag

The bag is the first thing guests see, but what is inside is what they talk about on the way home. These are the combinations we see families put together most often.
The traditional set
- A coconut, betel leaves and a banana or two
- A small box of sweets or a pack of laddus
- Kumkum and turmeric
- A blouse piece for married women guests
This set is heavier than it looks — a coconut alone needs a strong bag. Printed jute handles it comfortably; for lighter fillings a PVC gift bag works well.
Small keepsake ideas
- A small brass diya or kumkum box
- A steel tumbler or small bowl
- A plant sapling (wrap the pot well)
- A photo frame with the couple's names
- Dry fruits in a small pouch
Pick the bag size after the filling
Decide what goes in first, then pick the size. Every product page lists height, width and gusset (the depth at the bottom). A wider gusset matters if you are giving a coconut or a box — it lets the bag stand on the gift table without tipping.
Make it personal
Printing the couple's names and the wedding date turns an ordinary bag into a keepsake. Front printing is ₹8 extra per bag and both sides ₹15. You approve the design on WhatsApp before we print anything.
