Jute or PVC return gift bags: which one suits your function?

We make both, so we have no reason to push one over the other. Here is how they actually compare, and how families decide.
The quick comparison
| PVC gift bags | Printed jute bags | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | from ₹12 per bag | from ₹45 per bag |
| Look | Glossy, bright prints, gold details | Natural texture, rich and traditional |
| Strength | Good for sweets and light gifts | Carries coconuts, fruit, steel items |
| After the function | Often kept for a while | Used for years as a shopping bag |
| Name printing | On request | Yes, ₹8 one side / ₹15 both sides |
| Best for | Large guest lists, tight budgets | Close family, elders, premium gifting |
When PVC makes sense
If you are inviting 500 families or more, the bag budget adds up fast. A PVC gift bag at ₹12–₹20 keeps that line under control while still looking festive on the gift table. They photograph well, which matters more than people admit.
When jute is worth it
Jute is what guests remember. A good printed jute bag goes to the vegetable market every Sunday for the next two years with your function on it. For close family, elders, and functions with fewer guests, it is usually the better gift.
What about the environment?
Jute is a natural fibre and gets reused far longer, which is why many families now prefer it. PVC bags are reusable too, but they are not a natural material. If plastic-free is important to your family, choose jute.
